Outpatient health care and clinical laboratory diagnostics
Institute of Biology and Medical Genetics offers genetic examination and genetic counseling for patients in the complete range of the specialization of Medical Genetics. The institute serves primarily for the General Faculty Hospital in Prague, but has also provided services for other institutions throughout the Czech Republic. The institute conducts cytogenetic prenatal and postnatal examinations and indicates genetic preventive measures. Molecular genetic testing for heritable disease (Huntington´s chorea, polycystic kidney disease, familiar adenomatous polyposis of the colon, breast cancer, skeletal dysplasias and other), diagnostic and presymptomatic testing is provided for the Czech Republic and abroad.
